Jan Newman formed The Newman Group, Ltd. in 1977, to provide customized qualitative research studies with the goal of generating actionable marketing recommendations.


The Newman Group’s clientele is comprised of major consumer goods companies, both food and durable goods, advertising agencies, trade associations, financial institutions, food service sectors, hospitals, high technology companies, service industries, insurance, travel and leisure, and communications companies.


Biography  


Jan graduated form New York University with a major in marketing and psychology. Her interest in market research began when she answered a job posting in college for a part time position as a door-to-door interviewer.  The rest is history.


Jan Newman has personally moderated more than 3000 focus groups and one-on-one interviews during her 30 plus year career. The Newman Group has earned a national reputation for quality and timely delivery of

its qualitative research projects.


Both large and small companies benefit from our versatility and personalized approach. Prior to forming The Newman Group, Jan was with National Analysts, a division of Booz & Company and J. Walter Thompson Advertising.

        

Her approach combines the talents and credentials of a seasoned marketing researcher, award-winning published author and artist. Jan brings a fresh and creative sensibility to all projects. Her ability to engage respondents and synthesize information makes clients appreciate this approach.

In her free time she is passionate about ballet, art, golf and sustainable food & wine.
